Workshop - ‘Potty Mouth Pottery’

Warning - ‘Oh for SUCCS sake’ this workshop is funny and may contain words such F$%^ and S*%#. If you are a bit shy its ok, you can keep it clean as well. You will be hand building a gorgeous tripod legged planter pot and stamping your own personal motto into the surface before you glaze (colour the surface).


Come with a collection of quotes that will make us smile. No creative experience required, I will guide you through the process and ply you with a glass of bubbles to get you started.


All materials, equipment and tuition are included in your workshop cost. You will make and glaze your piece in this workshop in 3 and a 1/2 hours.


Pottery will be fired for you, and can be picked up three weeks after the class. Sharron will contact you directly and update the progress of your pottery.



A travelling fee for mobile workshops is added per person, depending on location. Contact Sharron for details.


FAQs

Refunds: Full transfers or refunds are provided if Covid regulations are changed by NSW Health.

In usual conditions refunds or transfers up to 7 days prior to the event due to material purchases. Covid safe practices are in place.


Pick up: ALL POTTERY must be collected within 3 weeks from date of contact. Postage can be arranged if required. Pottery will be held for no longer than 2 months before recycling. 

Drink and nibbles: a complimentary glass of wine or tea or coffee will be provided. BYO if you plan on drinking more than one.

Please feel free to bring nibbles along to the workshop and your own beverages if drinking more than one glass of wine.

Bring: All tools, materials and coffee and tea will be provided. 

This class gets messy so don’t wear your best clothes.

Please wear comfortable clothes, covered shoes , short nails if possible and remove all valuable jewel.

See you in the studio or you can host at your own venue. Travel costs will apply.

Frida, Sangria and Ceramics

Frida, Sangria and Ceramic mezzi platter

Be guided by Sharron of Smountain ceramics in a laid back and fun ceramic festival of Frida inspired by the artist Frida Kahlo and the colours of Mexico at your place or in my studio.



In this workshop you will make a ceramic platter and apply Mexicana inspired designs in the flavour of the ever popular Frida Kahlo .



No experience or artistic bones required just a sense of adventure, colourful Mexican clothes. Monobrows are optional. We will have a prize draw for the best Frida inspired outfits.

We will be working our ‘Frida‘ inspired designs onto the slab built platter and then underglazing. Sharron will guide you through with a step by step process. Your work will be fired for you and ready to pick up in a few weeks from my studio.



Come along and meet new friends or book a group of friends for a creative catch up.



Bookings are only secured through payment, a deposit of $100 to secure your date is required.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Recommended for 18+ years. BYO drinks, a complimentary glass of Sangria when you arrive.



What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking on the street.



Can I pay by EFT or other methods of payment?

Contact Sharron directly via DM or email to make other arrangement or pay a deposit.



What can I bring into the event?

All materials and equipment, firing of your ceramic pieces, glazes, glass of sangria upon arrival . 

BYO cheese and nibbles OR order takeout to be delivered

What's the refund policy?

Refunds and cancellations can be made up to 7 days prior. After this time you can elect to rebook in future workshops and you will be given a credit, as all materials have been ordered. Refunds or credit transfer in NSW health Covid status is changed.

BIG BOWL workshop

Join ceramic artist Sharron Mountain from smountain ceramics for a one day workshop. 

Explore the world of ceramics in a handson workshop where you will be handbuilding with clay, learning a range of techniques and exploring surface decoration techniques to add design and colour! You will make a large organic vessel, add surface textures and apply underglase transfer and other glaze applications to finish your Big Bowl. 

This fullday workshop is an opportunity to work with Sharron making and discussing her unique approach to colour and surface as she guides you through each step of the process of hand building. No experience required.
